Starting March 15. Anyone Else?

Hi all..

I'm new to the forums,  but not W30. I did the program,  oh, about 4 or 5 years ago.  I lasted 28 days. Didn't do reintroduction or anything like it. My weight is back to its highest.  My cholesterol and sugar are up. I have hypertension and my doctor just raised my dosage. I do not want to go out as a negative statistic.

I was doing well on WW before COVID. I've gained and lost the same 19 lbs since December of '19. Now I'm back at starting point and all the worse for it.

I have also had congestion issues all of my life.  I don't remember if W30 helped with that last time, but working from home and masking has cut down on allergy symptoms considerably.  I think getting rid of dairy will help,  even though I'm already grieving its loss.  Lol.

I'd love to make some pals here.  Especially and mid month starters like myself.

If you actually read all of this, thank you!

Welcome! I’m several months in to w30 with a few reintroduced things, but I have remained gluten, sugar and dairy free and I have definitely noticed an improvement in my sinuses and congestion although it wasn’t instant. Funny enough only this week I said to my husband that I felt like I was breathing really clearly.

Yay again!

Okay so my Husband is insisting that I start on April 1st so that we have plenty of time to prep the house and stuff! Im sorry! But if you want to message me, I can support from the sidelines until I start mine!

I am starting March 15...I'm excited and nervous...it's my first time doing whole30...but I've basically been fighting obesity my whole life. Only now it's wreaking havoc on my mind and body more than ever, so I need to reverse it and whole30 seemed like the way to go!

If anyone is looking for an accountability partner, I would love it!

I gotta get past Saturday this time this time

Make a plan in advance.  Get your food prepared and in the fridge so the only food thinking you have to do is to take out a meal, heat it and eat it...

Make an If/Then plan for the scenarios that seem to derail you: See below from this article: https://whole30.com/prepare/

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare Some More

First, write down every potential stressful, difficult, or complicated situation you may encounter during your Whole30. These may include business lunches, family dinners, travel plans, a long day at work, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, or office gatherings.

Next, create an if/then plan for each potentially difficult situation: “If this happens, then I’ll do this.” Here are a few examples, but we give you a ton more starting on page 27 of The Whole30:

Business lunch: If my co-workers give me a hard time about not ordering a drink, then I’ll say, “I’m doing this food experiment right now to see if I can make my allergies better, so it’s mineral water with lime for me tonight.”

Travel day: If I get to the airport and my flight is delayed, then I’ll snack on the Whole30 emergency food, apples, carrot sticks, and the small packet of almond butter I brought in my carry-on.

Last-minute meals: If I don’t have time to grocery shop, then I’ll pull some ButcherBox meat and mixed frozen veggies out of the freezer, and mix in a compatible dressing or sauce.
