anokes
I am on day 3 of my first Whole30. I'm really enjoying it so far. I noticed that no one mentions ham and I don't find recipes with ham. Is ham allowed on Whole30? Thanks! Aleks
ladyhoward
My understanding is that ham is allowed, but you need to make sure it is a naturally cured ham and not one that has been cured with sugar (or honey). Local farms where you can see how the pigs were raised are preferred - then you know what their diet has been, have they been given any anitbiotics/hormones, etc. Processed ham that you find in the grocery stores is not usually compliant. Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 10, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2013 I have never found ham in any grocery store that did not include unacceptable ingredients.
