Jessica M.
If you could only buy one type of your meat grass fed, etc., would it be beef? pork? chicken (poultry, but still). Just found a co-op in my area and members can choose a meat or dozen eggs a week with the membership. Opinions, please? Thanks!
Aberrantatavia
I'd choose whatever I ate the most of. I only do free range eggs because they are the cheapest kind of good protein you can get. I'd go without pork before I'd eat the commercial stuff. Pigs are scavengers and will eat anything.
kb0426
I want to be a member at your co-op! The bulk of my bill at my co-op comes from grass fed beef. Ground beef, in particular, is a concern to me because if I cook conventional ground beef and don't remove the fat, I am consuming the toxins of that conventional beef. I just feel better knowing the FAT of the animal I consume is not going to be toxic to me. Based on that, I would choose the beef!
Renee Lee
Beef eggs would be my second choice, but a dozen eggs doesn't go very far!
Sharon Simpson Thumann
Pork! Conventional pork makes me physically ill. In order I would buy pork, chicken, eggs then beef.
ladunn
wow, this is hard....I have easy access to grass fed beef, otherwise that would be my first choice. I might choose eggs, although I agree with Renee...a dozen wouldn't go far. It would be a toss up for me between chicken & ground pork I think. Kim Christensen
Beef. We keep half a GF cow in our freezer and I can't imagine life without it!
kitmao
I've read that in the concern of Omega 3/6 fat balances, conventional beef and grass finished beef are relatively the same. But pork, is a big difference. That's just what I read!
praxisproject
Whatever you eat more fat from, that's where the baddies are stored in the non-free range stuff. On the flipside, whatever conventional stuff you get, eat lean and add your own fats.
