BSharks
Hi, My husband and I are currently on week 3 of our Whole30, and it's going really well so far. However, we dove into this with only minimal thought given to the reintroduction after the 30 days are up. Day 30 is just two days before Thanksgiving for us. I'm looking for some guidance on how to navigate the reintroduction period during the holiday. The traditional Thanksgiving meal includes a little bit of everything we'll have spent 30 days avoiding. My recipe for pumpkin pie alone has sugar, wheat, dairy and alcohol in it (it's a seriously great pie, I've spent more than a decade refining the recipe.) Is it a dumb idea to just have Thanksgiving in a moderate way (a small slice of pumpkin pie, a glass of wine, maybe a small portion of stuffing, etc.), then spend the next few days back on Whole30 guidelines before diving into the reintroduction timeline? If you've done reintroduction around Thanksgiving I'd love to hear from you, especially if you think this is a truly bad idea.
