Maggie's W30 log... beginning the W30 food (& emotional!) prep

I've decided to jump in (at least in writing) while I'm feeling motivated. Not sure yet of my start date, but would like to use the momentum I have now to propel me toward a well-deserved and much needed Whole 30... um should I call it a reset? lol Feels funny to call it that since I've been totally off the rails for a (long) while now. Hope keeping a log will help! My most recent W30 was this past summer and it felt GREAT! Prior to that it had been years... (I didn't even know I had an account -- but I've had one since 2012! Yowza.)

Over the next couple days/weeks the idea is for me to simply suit up and show up. Begin cleaning out my fridge, my cupboard etc, incorporate simple W30 meal ideas and recipes into the mix, move a bit each day, and set a date. At this point the latest I'd like to set it is Jan 1, though I've got a feeling (& a hope!) it may be sooner. Writing here is the perfect place to start!

Did a grocery run yesterday and it feels good to have some staples in the house. First two meals of the day were relatively healthy, at this point in my transition incorporating veggies is HUGE step. I'm a little anxious about beginning this way, but know the power of showing up each day in other activities and the momentum it can create helps. I'm willing to be willing. Even though I know this isn't actually part of a Whole30, it feels good to be here with an awareness of where I am instead of in complete denial. My normal goto is to try to get in shape before I try to join the gym... but do it quietly just in case I change my mind. This log gives me the opportunity to be where I am, take stock, make a plan.
