____Emily____
Hello! I'm starting my 3rd Whole30 this upcoming Monday, January 31st. During my first Whole30 back in July 2018, I was part of a thread on this forum with a few other people who were doing Whole30 around the same time as me and would love to do that again. It was great to talk about struggles we were having and share recipes and lessons with others. Is anyone else starting Whole30 around the same time? I'm really looking forward to starting on Monday - Obviously I was eating fairly poorly over the holidays, and I have carried a lot of bad habits forward into January. Just a lot of candy and sweets. I find the sugar and alcohol most difficult to avoid, so doing a Whole30 over Valentines Day (the season of chocolate!) is going to be extra difficult, but will also be quite beneficial for me. Thankfully, my husband is joining me in Whole30, so we'll do something fun and Whole30 compliant for Valentines Day instead of focusing on a fancy meal (I'm eye-balling a glass blowing class)
ShaunaG
HI Emily and others. I began yesterday, and this is my second round. I occasionally eat 'whole 30' for a period of time, but usually I don't consider myself on a strict round as I am this month. My intent is to clean up my bad eating habits (sugar or artificial sweeteners, over grazing) and get myself right again. I have a host of aches and pains that I'm sure this will clear up as well (as it has in the past), and although it is not the intent of the program - weight loss that generally comes when I clean up my act. Looking forward to having a group of like-minded people to share ideas, validate and commiserate with. Shauna
____Emily____
Hi @ShaunaG! Good luck to you on your Whole30! I'm going to move over to the "February Start" post since there are more people over there and we'll be going through roughly the same journey.
