I'm Starting Because I Have Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) and I was hoping if anyone had some positive feedback or advice!

Recommended Posts

Hey! today is day two on Whole30 and boy am I excited but exhausted and a little overwhelmed! I am being supported from my dad who is doing this with me  in order to see if this helps with my disease Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome otherwise known as CVS. I was wondering if anyone else has this and has seen any changes in their attacks by going on this diet. The doctor has mentioned this diet to me several times and has said it would be a good idea and that it might help, as there is no cure for this disease but, ways to help calm vomiting attacks like what foods you eat. I am going on this diet to see if certain foods I am digesting are in fact what are making me so sick or are what triggering certain attacks, or are making certain ones worse more so than others. It is a disease that is dealing both with the brain and the gut so I am very interested to see if food is a main trigger. I have received many food allergy tests and they all came back negative so it is definitely CVS. To try and find out a way to lessen these severe attacks would be amazing so I could have a better quality of life. I just wanted to see if anyone on here has been through this or is going through this and has suffered from CVS and has experienced positive changes? This could be forever life changing for me and my disease and I desperately could use some hope because man this is hard!

I found one mention of CVS on facebook - apparently staying Low Histamine is helpful for this specific person.  I don't personally have facebook so I can't link to the post but if you google 'Whole30 Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, you should come up with the same result.
