tclass
If we do a high intensity workout are we supposed to eat a PWO meal (snack?) ina ddition to our regular three meals? Most days I workout at 6am but a couple days a week I do an afternoon weights class instead. On those days I usually eat breakfast at 6:30am, lunch at 11:30am, workout from 2-3pm, dinner at 6pm. Should I be eating a PWO snack after I workout but before dinner? And if so should it be a sweet potato and some protein? Thanks.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 15, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2013 Yes. I find that I can eat a can of tuna at the gym and be ready to eat a regular meal 45 minutes later at home. You are due a pre-workout snack too. It might be just a boiled egg or a handful of nuts, but high intensity workouts demand extra nutrition.
