klack
Hi all, I'm on day 15 of whole30 and have dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant tomorrow night. I looked up the menu and am freaking, because I'm not sure what to order - especially since I don't eat fish/seafood. I would be eternally grateful if someone could give me ideas! Thanks! Here's the link to the menu.
jesstg
My guess is that, minus the sorbet, you should be safe with ceviche. You may be able to see if they can just grill a meat of your choice and add salsa and guac. (Assuming, that is, that they don't put sugar in their salsa.) Good luck! klack
Wish I could eat the ceviche, but I dont' eat fish/seafood. I think you're right about the grilled meat - thanks!
Renee Lee
omg, that entire menu looks DELICIOUS. I'm not sure if you'll have a language barrier while you're there, but basically everything in the entrees section could be compliant. Personally, I'd get the duck, double check that it's not breaded, and either ask for just some guac and veggies (or plantains!!!) on the side. Same wtith the chicken and hanger steak. Mole doesn't traditionally have sugar, corn or flour in it, but you should check just in case.
jesstg
Kelly, sorry about that! I must have missed that sentence. You could probably call ahead too, just to get a better sense of what the options are.
klack
Oh Jess, no worries! I wish I could eat it because that would make things easier. Renee, you are welcome to come with!
