Susannah
Looking for suggestions for some crunchy foods other than carrot and celery sticks or apples. My partner and I are doing the Whole30 this month (day 18 - yea!!) and she said "I miss crunch!" Meaning her rice crackers or nut crackers. Any ideas? Thanks! cbelling
Roasted Brussel Sprouts (with olive oil and salt). Great crunch. I used to haaaaaate them until I tried it this way.
Susannah
Thanks for the ideas. Nuts are so insidious so easy to mindlessly munch.
Noelle
Another vote for radishes here! I also like raw turnips cut into "chips" or sticks, and fresh green beans (either raw or just barely steamed).
Martha
Great ideas. I am missing the crunch as well. i was thinking about making kale chips. I'll try radishes and roasting some brussels sprouts and/or carrots with salt... maybe that will do it.

Gaileo
I did a variation of this recipe last night: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/11861165935/pizzeria-delfinas-spicy-cauliflower If you cut the cauliflower really small and make sure they brown enough, the pieces get really yummy and crunchy and it's oh-so-satisfying! Mich
I made this last night and it was pretty yummy. The crunch does come from nuts but what I did was only bought enough for what I was making so there were none left to snack on - http://www.marksdailyapple.com/crispy-nut-and-herb-fried-chicken-with-creamy-avocado/ Might satisfy the need. BTW, it says 4 cups of crushed nuts - I only used one cup for 3 chicken breasts and it was fine.

Martha
I have decided kale chips are my buddy. As soon as I get home from work I make a sheet pan full and snack on them for the rest of the afternoon. I get a huge bag of washed, chopped kale from Wegmans, so it's easy to pour some out on a sheet pan, drizzle with oil and coconut aminos, and roast at 375 for 12 - 15 minutes.
