LindaLee
(Hope this isn't too many questions!) We want to start the plan, but we have a house FULL of "not allowed" foods - bread, crackers, pasta, all kinds of things. Should we toss all this out? It seems an awful waste but I know us - if it's there, we'll eat it. Thanks again! Linda
NLK
Can you donate to a local food bank?
Jennifer 'Cassidy' Urban
You can donate to a lot of it to a local food shelter or even church (ours has a small food pantry). If you have pasta/rice that is open you can use it for art projects with the kids or donate it to a local preschool.
befabdaily
I am very capable of having stuff stocked up in my house and not eating it (a different form of waste, I guess). So I didn't do a big clean-out in advance. But I just gave two big bags of pantry staples like beans, pasta, cereal and jams and jellies to my graduate student. Jeanye Mercer
LInda, I'm a fan of getting rid of the junk completely. It really sets the stage for success. Our brains don't need any nagging doubts hanging around in the form of brightly covered packages. Donate it or dump it. What's really a waste is eating the junk. Best of luck! LindaLee
THanks again, everyone! I'm going to go through the cabinets this weekend, donate whatever we can, and toss the rest (or maybe we'll put it out for the wild hogs...they eat everything, LOL)...
