Nupilot
I'm on Day 19 of my Whole30. I have stayed compliant, even through a head cold and a bout of food poisoning (not my cooking;-) The one thing I absolutely plan to add back in once I'm through is a very small amount of some form of sugar in the one cup of coffee I have every morning. My question for the forum is what form of sugar is recommended? Coconut / palm, maple, raw honey??? (And thanks in advance for lecturing me about not truly slaying my sugar dragon. Before my Whole30 I was using 2 splendas in the morning cup of coffee and 2-4 more splendas in my ice tea with lunch. I'd also have a cookie or two as I was preparing dinner and a dish of icecream before bed. So, I have made tremendous progress and do not plan to return to my previous habits. ;-)
1Maryann
I don't know if one is recommended over another by the people whose opinions count, but my personal preference is for raw honey. I don't have a sugar dragon, I'd rather have an extra helping of dinner than save room for dessert, but I've worked hard to eliminate the processed foods from my diet, so I would stick with the most minimally processed sugar of them all. Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 29, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2013 The Whole9 does not recommend less bad options, but whatever you choose, you should enjoy it.
