Fi68
This Whole30 was my very first try of anything paleo/primal and when I started on 1st January I signed up for the daily emails (which have been GREAT by the way!). Today's email suggested that if I haven't felt the "magic" yet - which I haven't - that one option was to extend another 15 or 30 days. I am really proud how well I have done so far but I think I need to stick with it a bit longer to get the most out of it. I am hoping this is the right decision ... I just feel like I have come so far that it is better to keep going than to have to start all over again. I wish I was a more decisive person! Fatbegone
I am continuing on for another 30 days at least. I have been very overweight for a decade now I feel that my body and my mind need more time to heal. So for now mine will be a Whole60, however I anticipate a Whole90 by the end. Good Luck to you. torena
I am going to enjoy some coconut milk ice cream with my daughter and maybe some wine with my inlaws this weekend. I'm going to continue living/eating paleo and still limit the treats. In March my husband and daughter are willing to try a 21 Day Sugar Detox so I'm going to do that with them, and then in either April or May I'm going to do another Whole30. annnewjerz
I think I'll probably proceed with eating according to the Whole30 guidelines until something comes up that would make me want to stop. Maybe that'll be 32 days, but I doubt it. My guess is that it will be more in the range of 60+. I feel great so far (on day 17) and I don't miss anything enough to deal with reintroduction yet --- so for me, I'll do this indefinitely.
micheritch
I plan on trying to make it 45 or 60 days. If something comes up that is just too good to pass up, then perhaps I will consider it, but as of now I hope to make it through February as well (i started 1/7). Thankfully even if I make it 60 days, I will still be done by St. Patricks Day. (I love my Guiness!) Good job sticking with it!
EileenRBe
My husband and I are on day 26 and planning to extend at least 7 days and maybe as many as 30. We're not quite ready to stop! So I'm happy to see this thread and will follow it as we go forward. I'm so appreciative of the forum community's support. I don't know if I could have gotten this far without it. Jessica M.
Day 29 for me. I am just starting to feel things working, and still have a lot of habits to correct and a ton of weight to lose. Repeating to myself that I have 20-30 years of so-so nutrition and no exercise (and 2 kids) to heal up from. As much as I would love to find new things to sweeten my coffee with (maybe some maple syrup or honey?), it is not time yet. I am going to try to get to at least 45 days. Jan/Feb is a good time when I have the chance to control my food pretty well. Spring brings deadlines, work trip, trips with girl scouts and cub scouts... danger and off-roading for sure. I am completely new to this paleo/primal way of thinking/eating. I'm learning every day. Benefiting from the restrictions (never thought I'd say that). It's keeping me in line. And cutting out lots of food-without-brakes for sure (peanut butter, grains, cheese...), so not in a rush to add things back.
dukunbayi
I am! I feel like I am just scratching the surface, and just hitting my stride with this. I commit to going longer and digging deeper.
1Maryann
There's a bunch of us who started out on a Whole100 this time. Some have AI issues and are still piecing the puzzle together, some are new, and many, like me, have done a couple of Whole30s but the lessons didn't stick long term. I do fine for a while, and then the bad stuff creeps back in. And once I open the door, I'm like an addict, and I can't just leave it for 'once in a while'. I'm hoping the longer term really changes my brain this time, or gets my body to the point that it reacts badly to the foods I shouldn't have. I want the right food choices to become so automatic that the other stuff just doesn't even look appealing any more.
