bets55429
I had intended to start my Whole30 on January 1st, but then came up with about 20 excuses as to why I should start on Feb. 1 instead. Finally, around the middle of the month I got really motivated to do it and started on January 19th. I'm nearing my halfway point (I'm on day 14) and things couldn't be going better. I have had a few days of being tired and some "bathroom" issues (sorry...TMI) but that's about it. It's funny because I thought I was going to have the hardest time giving up sugar and my lattes, but I really don't miss it all that much. I'm actually really enjoying my Whole30 journey and it truly is CHANGING MY LIFE. I have always had a love/hate relationship with food and finally feel like I am changing that relationship into something positive and healthy. I have no doubt in my mind that I will complete my Whole30 challenge, which makes me really proud. And I can already tell that I will continue my new lifestyle once it's completed. Maybe I will be part of the Whole 100 club!
Bethany Gingerich
I started Jan. 21! So you are two days ahead of me. Nice to have someone who's in the same general timeframe! This is my second time and I hate abiding by rules, and my boyfriend and I are very social and normally eat out a lot, so those are my biggest struggles. Love the cooking and my tummy is so happy on this, I know it's SO good for me! Yeah, kicking the sugar is the best thing about this for me. I never went back to my sugar addictions after the first one, and I no longer use artificial sweetener, even when not on W30.
bets55429
I worked out today for the first time in months and I have to admit it felt pretty good. (Why am I so resistant to something that makes me feel so good?!) I would love to get into running again, but my legs just felt so heavy on the treadmill. Then I starting thinking about my Whole30 experience.....if I could do this for the last 18 days, I really think there is a lot more I'm capable of doing if I just push myself a little harder. So, I starting doing some 30 second running intervals and after I warmed up a bit, it became easier. I wrote down how long it took me to do 2 miles and I plan on "re-evaluating" every 3 weeks to see the progress I'm making. Yet another way the Whole30 is changing my life.....LOVE IT!! bets55429
Day 19 and I'm feeling awesome!! I bought these cute heart-shaped ramekin's (http://www.worldmarket.com/product/heart-shaped-ramekin-red.do) and made miniature egg bakes in them. It was fun to open up my breakfast container at work this morning and find my heart-shaped egg bake. Yes, a little lame, but fun, nonetheless. I've also been thinking of making cookies for my co-workers for Valentine's Day. I'm a huge baker and haven't made treats since I started my Whole30. Will the temptation be too much if I'm at home alone with all these cookies? Or should I hold off until I'm done with my Whole30? Or maybe I won't have any issues at all? I'm torn....well, I still have another week to decide.
