Shannon Franklin
Alright! Today is Day 2 of my first official Whole 30. So far, so good. I was really hungry today for lunch, and I almost talked myself in to "allowing" Chipotle's shredded beef in. However, I stayed strong. I know it's cooked in cottonseed oil, and therefore not compliant. Instead, I went to a local "healthy" store called Sprouts. Epic fail. They have virtually no Whole 30 compliant foods. I ate my home-brought hard-boiled eggs and a can of pumpkin instead. Yes! I did NOT cave in. I did pick up some ground antelope, boar and elk, which I'm looking forward to making some meatballs out of. I admit I did not prepare like I should have, and today's near slip showed me the importance of alleviating that going forward. It's almost bedtime now. I am confident I've got today in the bag. And I believe Chipotle actually uses soybean oil :-(
