Ottagon
I started today (actually middle of the day yesterday, but today's my official start date). Doing this out of solidarity with my husband. Already starting to question why I'm doing this--I have zero expectations of any kind of benefit at all. But if it helps my husband to reexamine his cravings (he has a sweet tooth a mile wide, and craves fried foods nearly as strongly) a little bit, it'll be a net win. And it certainly wouldn't be bad for me to lay off the beer for a bit. I just hope I can make it to the end so I can get back to eating bad-for-me stuff! [email protected]
I think it's wonderful that you are doing this to support your husband. Maybe you will actually surprise yourself and find that you feel better and see some benefits---you may not want to even get back the "bad-for-me stuff If you haven't read "It Starts With Food", I would really highly recommend it. Knowing the "why" behind the program makes it much easier to follow. Good luck to you and your husband!
megmac
I hope you stick it out because I can't wait to read your post at the end. I think this will be an eye opening experience. I second the suggestion to read the book. It's fascinating! Don't skip the scienc-y stuff. I think it will make you have a much better understanding of what your husband is doing and why. Good luck! I hope you love this plan and are pleasantly surprised!
