Hello All!

I've been bouncing back and forth for about a year now with fifteen pounds and sticking to a routine of clean eating and Crossfit SO my Crossfit trainer recommended reading It Starts With Food as well as a "guidebook" the gym got when they signed with Whole9! Therefore, here I am, and determined as hell but struggling! My friends and family don't say anything about my "ways of eating" my family accepts it and even eats following the guidelines along with me some times but anyone outside of Crossfit, thinks I'm delusional. I really would like someone to get through these 30, or more (as many as it takes) to break all of my bad habits! Anyone with me!?

rChristine, feel free to be accountable with all of us. You can make the 30 day commitment and start logging your food. Let us all chip in. We'll offer our been-there done-that opinions, probably drive you crazy, and potentially help you out. Welcome!

You can start log thread in the forum "Your Whole30 food log"

Hi rChristine,

I started my whole30 on feb 9 but I cut out bread and sugar about a week before so I am probably a little further along than someone who started cold turkey. I am completely new to anything like this. I have never tried adjusting what I eat to help me with health issues. I would love to walk through this with you.

I have always been an eat and run person so I am having a difficult time adjusting to the time required to shop and cook for myself, not to mention mindful eating. My diet has always been low fat except when eating dairy so all this fat in my diet is strange to me. The whole thing is contrary to what I've done for so long.

Anyway, I can say that I am sleeping better and maybe feel a little less bloated. My primary goal is to get rid of allergies and wake up in the mornings without a headache. And lose a few pounds/inches :)

SugarCheeseBread Junkie, wonderful! I have been eating on and off Paleo for about a year, but with the total wrong mindset so for the Whole30 I am trying to completely erase everything trainers have told me and go completely by the Whole30 guidelines and have faith in the process! I also want to lose a few pounds inches BUT I would love to have a better look on food and feel more well rounded and in control of everything I put into my body. I also feel less bloated, no allergies for me that have been diagnosed but I DO know from experimenting that modern day wheat and grain products (other then rice and quinoa) make me bloat into a 9month pregnant looking woman in about an hour after I eat it but I am fine eating Ezekiel sprouted grain breads.. still though looking forward to the changes I experience cutting grains all together! To the next 30 or however many it takes days! Cheers! And if I babble alot or ask questions do not feel the need to always reply, I am a full time nursing student always looking to procrastinate studying! :P
