Kaleena
If so, please tell me how! I don't know if I'll have time to allow it to simmer for 2 hours today but chocolate chili on Valentine's Day seems rather appropriate!
kshacklett
are you using the recipe from theclothesmakethegirl? If you search through the comments at the bottom, she tells you to do the following: "Follow the same instructions for cooking the onions and browning the meant, then replace the liquids with this: liquids: 14.5 oz. can chopped tomatoes 6 oz. tomato paste 1 cup beef broth" I completely prepared it last week to make in the slow cooker, then forgot to take it out of the fridge in the morning and ended up doing it on the stove when I got home from work. It was still awesome, though Good luck!
Callan
Yes! I wound up using the original recipe in my crockpot, left it for close to 10 hours, and it was perfect.
lulucandoit!
Did you brown the meat and onions first or just plunk everything in? This does seem like a good Valentines day meal and I actually have all the ingredients.
kellyp
I browned the meat and onions first. The longer is simmers the better it is.
Rachael2288
Make sure to drain off the fat from browning the meat or it will be much too greasy!
lulucandoit!
Thanks very much! I am off to make this now. I think my husband, who is doing this with me, will be surprised and pleased, since it will be the closest to chocolate we have gotten in 23 days.
