Guest
Hello! I am so very excited to be here, but today's e-mail helped me to see that I have much to learn. On my mind today is the excitement (and disappointment) of cooking new foods and foods I haven't cooked lately. It is just food and there is another meal around the corner that could be better, but it is all fuel and I am hoping to see some healing as I adjust my eating. So, as for adjusting, I just learned that I am to eat 3 meals. As it turns out, I have medication that I take with my first meal, with my snack 2 hours later, and with another snack 12 hours after that. That gives me at least 2 extra, large snacks and a body that is accustomed to one other snack. Wow! This could be interesting as I make this transition. Eventually, I could be med-free, but I think today is just the day to begin to adjust to a cleaner way of eating. I hope the first few days count based on quality of food and not timing. If not, please let me know. Call me frexcited! Nico
JWLS
Awesome Nico! I am frexcited with you! I am not an advanced member or moderator, but I am sure you do not have to start over because of timing. I have always done 4 meals and a snack so I am working on that one myself. So far I am having 3 meals and a small snack before working out. I am on my day 3 and feel very energetic and not hungry at all. So far I love this new way of life! Welcome aboard! Kirsteen
Hi Nico, welcome. The three meals a day with pre & post workout snacks if needed, is the ideal template but, as Jamminju said it's not a deal breaker. Some of us, myself included, found it really hard to get into that pattern, it took me over 30 days to manage to eat breakfast every day . If you're on medication that needs to be taken at certain times, you may always need to tweak it to suit. Meds take priority evry time. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted how you get on.
