jeremythamm
Well finally started the Whole 30 after months of deliberation. On day 2 right now and feel soooo tired! Also anyone else in San Diego doing this? I need to know a few good places to buy quality meat.
KelBelle
My sister lives in San Diego and I know she is strictly vegetarian unless she finds humanely raised meat. I will ask her and let you know. Good Luck!

KelBelle
This is from her email: La Jolla Butcher Shop (aka Homegrown Meats) carries local grass fed beef and pork and I think pastured chicken. That's probably the most reliable place, although not in a convenient area unless he lives in La Jolla. There is usually grass fed beef, pork, and pastured chicken at the Hillcrest and Little Italy farmers' markets and probably most other large farmers markets. Sprouts and Trader Joe's carry grass fed beef from other countries, and Whole Foods probably has lots of grass fed beef and pork. There are also lots of restaurants here that feature local and/or grass fed meat as well. Locavore.com is a good resource. Hope this helps!
