Kirsteen
Does anyone know where I can get unsweetened dried cranberries. I'm in the UK and a google search brings up D-mannose, Buckwheat flakes and choc bars So not what I'm looking for! Any ideas gratefully received
Derval
Haven't found them here either but I did get apple juice sweetened ones from iherb.
Kirsteen
Hmm i may end up there. I thought I'd found ones on Amazon that wouldn't be too bad as they were sweetened with pineapple juice, then the ingredients show they also have pineapple syrup (doesn't sound good) and vegetable oil (definitely noot good)
EileenRBe
I've been using dried cherries for similar flavor. They're less likely to be sweetened. I tried dehydrating my own cranberries but they were tough (might need to use oil), a bit tricky (you have to boil them till they ALL pop), and too tart (might need sweetened with something). xacerb8
Kirsteen: I don't know if this company will ship to the UK, but try Cherry Bay Orchards: http://www.cherrybayorchards.com/dried-fruit/cranberries/dried-unsweetened-cranberries-1-lb.html This company definitely does international shipping, but the cranberries are sweetened with apple juice: http://www.vitacost.com/eden-foods-organic-dried-cranberries-sweetened-with-apple-juice-4-oz?csrc=GPF-PA-024182000900&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw=&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=024182000900&gclid=CKPz9ZbzzLUCFYWo4AodVi8AvA (sorry for the mammoth link!) EmilyB456
I use nuts.com to get apple sweetened dried cranberries. I don't know if they ship overseas, either, but they are a fun bunch of people to deal with and have a lot of the Whole30 goodies I can't get living where I live. Kirsteen
Thanks everyone, the Cherrybay seem to be the only unsweetened ones but they don't seem to ship over here. However I've emailed them to ask. I've tried dehydrating my own but without much success I'm afraid. thanks again
jodea
I've had the same problems in the UK and ended up using Crazy Jacks Organic Dates instead, the only dried fruit I can find in Tesco with no crap added.

Dana Binns Grummer
Hi - I'm brand new to the forum - but thought I'd add I've made my own before. Boil them in apple juice until they split. let them dry and dehydrate them in the oven. Took forever but they were good.
annabel
Waitrose has some that have pineapple juice from concentrate and sunflower oil as a glazing agent, which I'm not sure is any better than the Tesco version. Dried cranberries are the only dried fruit that I like too Edited to add: Just found this site that has freeze dried cranberries. http://www.healthysupplies.co.uk/dried-cranberries.html (and dried cranberries sweetened with apple juice), but still with the sunflower oil. Kirsteen
thanks for the link Annabel, they look good if not exactly cheap . Dana, i might give it another try. I've got a dehydrator but never had any luck with cranberries but I think I probably didn't get them all split first.
Dana Binns Grummer
after they split - I had to dehydrate them for what seemed like forever. They still were a little chewier than the ones you get at the store - but they had a more tart flavor. I liked them more
Kirsteen
Yeah - I managed to get a couple of bags of frozen ones in Whole Foods. I boiled them and dehydrated them while I was making jerky. Now for the first time i have dried cranberries that are actually tart. I love them in coleslaw and thrown in with cooked cabbage.
