Banaban "Coconut Crunch"

Zoodles

Says on the website it's a by- product of their virgin coconut oil production. To me that means someone got a raise and a bonus for figuring out a way to market what used to go to the compost. Post back if it's awesome though, inquiring minds want to know!

Lol yep that's what I thought, maybe if I mix it with coconut oil I can make a coconut materialise! Looks like I'm off to buy some tomorrow, purely out of curiosity :)

hmmm...now i'm curious. my kids were big time cereal fans and i've been giving them bowls of coconut, nuts and fruit for breakfast a couple days a week (they tell me it's the best cereal ever...hehe), i bet this stuff would work well with those.

Sooo it tastes like horse food (not horse meat). It's the bran of the coconut world, in fact, it could possibly be ground up coconut husks. Highly not recommended! Looks like I'm going to be hiding it in meatloaf for the next 3 years.... :P

Zoodles, if it is indeed coconut husks that might be good steeped as a tea. In Brazil they have a tea made up of mostly coconut husk and it is consumed for health benefits as it is anti-inflammatory. Drinking the tea helps relieve the pain. I'll try to look up the info as I was just reading about it last night. Tracy

Well, I guess it's good to know. Hopefully it wasn't too expensive.

Haha Tracy I don't think it's really coconut husks, it just tastes like it, but I've got to get rid of a big bag of it so maybe hiding in tea would work lol!
