Bree
Why is ghee ok? It's a processed product that has been altered from its original state, therefore incomplete.
Sharon Simpson Thumann
It's butter that has been cooked to remove the milk solids. You can make it at home yourself. I don't consider it processed. To me, processed foods have additives and other nasties I do not care for in my food.
Guest
I see what Bree is saying. Aside from things we harvest by hand and eat raw, almost all food goes through a process of some kind. And, the cooking fats we use definitely don't look like real food that is found in nature. At some point, an evaluation of utility and healthfulness must have to be made to decide what sorts of foods to include on a clean menu, right? Susan W
I have to agree with Sharon. Ghee is not something I consider processed any more than peeling an onion and cooking it is processed. It simply removes the dairy (not allowed on W30) and leaves the pure fat from grass fed cows (the good healthy stuff).
