Milwmary
I am planning to start my first Whole30 on Wednesday. I am on several supplements and I need to know what to look for in the ingredients to see if they are compliant. I am taking iron, calcium, flaxseed oil, multi-vitamin, maca root, 5 HTP, and ground flax seeds. Some of these list so many things I have no idea how to tell. Is there a list some where I can use to check on them? Is there a good place to find compliant versions? Any advice and help is appreciated. I am trying to get my ducks in a row to be ready for Wednesday.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 3, 2013 You need to avoid any supplement that includes any of the foods or additives that the Whole30 guidelines say you cannot eat: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/5-the-official-whole30%C2%AE-program/ That means no soy, dairy, dextrose, carageenan, MSG, sulfites, etc. Here are a list of blog posts on supplements, probiotics, digestive enzymes, etc. http://whole9life.com/2010/08/whole9-supplement-evaluation-checklist/ http://whole9life.com/2010/09/supplements-part-ii/ http://whole9life.com/2012/04/probiotics-101/ http://whole9life.com/2012/09/digestive-enzymes-101/
Milwmary
Thanks, I must bought the kindle version of the book too, that might help. I will do my best to figure out what is in the stuff I am taking. I don't want to quit them without talking to doctor though since he put me on all this stuff.
