blondie
I am only on day 2 of my first Whole 30 and last night, I whipped up some olive oil mayo and dreamy avocado dressing.... then my husband reminded me that while pregnant, I'm supposed to avoid raw eggs Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed out by this, but desperately need some type of sauce or dressing to add some zing to my veggies (I will admit that I'm not a big veggie person). Any suggestions or recommendations for sauces that don't include raw eggs as an ingredient? Thanks!
Fenderbender
If you " lightly" hard boil the egg ( just congealing about 6-7 min simmering boil) the yolk still works for making emulsion sauces.... Just add the oil very very slowly until the yolk breaks up and starts to combine with some of the oil and liquids
SpinSpin
Yep, I have to have mayo too and with being pregnant no raw eggs booo! So I am going to coddle my eggs before I make mayo--what is tuna salad or chicken salad with out mayo! Sacrilegious I say!
Betsy Mahaffey See
You can also buy Pasturized eggs. Davidson's is one brand I know of and they have a website with a product locator.
