Avalanche
So, I'm on day 5 and all week I've been planning to make a big, delicious lamb stew over the weekend to help take out some of the food prep during the week (and also I love lamb stew). Normally I would add beef broth, but of course the broth I have, and all the broth in the store, seems to be non compliant. I know you can make you own broth, but I don't think I can get it done in time, and I've got 2 lbs of lamb in the fridge, ready to go. Do you think I could McGuyver it with a can of diced tomatos and coconut aminos? Other ideas?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 9, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2013 Absolutely. You might even like lamb stew with diced tomatoes and coconut aminos better than with beef broth.
1Maryann
I mostly only add water to stew. Especially if simmered in the slow cooker, it makes its own broth as it cooks. (But I also love it with diced tomatoes.)
