dianavuong
I get that our protein portion should be 1-2 palm sizes but what about the thickness of it? For instance, you can have a pork chop that is either thin cut or 1 inch thick. Does the palm size portion mean that it should be as thick as your palm also? Fenderbender
Yep. As thick as your palm too...
dianavuong
Wow, okay. I think my meat portions are too large then.
missmary
Wow, okay. I think my meat portions are too large then. Maybe not. You can have up to two palms-worth, per meal. If you are hungry for it, the bigger portion of protein is probably a good thing.

Kirsteen
Yep, if you're active go for the higher amount. We are so brainwashed in our society that most people coming to a W30 tend to undereat so don't be afraid of having enough to fill you and keep you til the next meal. SpinSpin
When I do pork chops, I always do thick cut chops, bone in, either porterhouse or rib eye--that is how my market does them--and I brown them and then cook them in onions, mustard, broth and thyme for about 45 minutes. Yum! then I blend up the sauce I cooked them in for a gravy of sorts and then serve with roast veg and sweet potatoes.
