Greetings, fellow Whole30's! I began my journey into Paleo about two months ago, dipping my toe in the water with a real cutback on grains, legumes, sugars, etc. and have pretty much enjoyed the fare. I have purchased several cookbooks and the Hartwigs' book. Yesterday, I began the Whole30! I'm hoping to find some buddies here online to share trials, tribulations, and success stories with. Today I'm thinking, what's for lunch? which is my big meal question most days. I usually eat eggs for bkfst, and a healthy dinner, but lunch seems to just slip by without my being hungry. Anyone else have this feeling, and what do you do about it? I'm female, 57, a child of the 80's music-wise, a struggling artist - I work with acrylics and photography (cell phone, LOL), and am planning to begin making arty dog jackets this Spring. I joined a gym two months ago and go to an aquatic fitness class twice a week and a Yoga class. I'm hoping to get in shape and drop about 80 lbs. this year. Drop me a line if you'd care to. Good luck to you! Phyllis

Hey Phyllis! My husband and I started on Thursday as well! I'm pretty in shape, but looking to slay my sugar demon (lifelong issues leading to hypoglycemia), but I'm mainly doing this for my husband, who has real problems with systemic inflammation. We're not sure what he has...we thought it was Lyme disease, now we're looking at Lupus, could be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Regardless, something needed to be done to shift things for him, and I wanted to give this a go.

We are doing pretty well so far, but both are suffering from a lot of fatigue and brain fog through the middle of the day. Not sure how to combat that yet, as we're both eating well at lunch (yay leftovers)!

Anyway, message me if you want to buddy up. We are 20 years apart (I turn 37 in May), but I am also a struggling artist, so we may have more in common than just Whole30 ;) ~Glynis

Hello Phyllis,

I started on friday the 15th, 1st time doing paleo also. I also would like to find support with my journey. I am having problems with head-aches in the evening, not sure why they start at night but this is day 2 and head-ache again. time for some ibuprofen. I wish you luck on your journey as well.

Hi Glynis and Sandy! Thanks for the responses. I'm now on Day 5 and really dragging in the morning, but that could be partially due to a trip my husband, Ben, and I took out West for a week, plus the fact that I've been staying up til all hours chatting with a friend from Facebook, LOL. I'm going to my Aquatic Fitness Class twice a week, and this morning have a Yoga Class at the gym, so guess my energy is all right. I haven't experienced any headaches or muscle pains (Sandy - I had Lyme Disease, and was treated with antibiotics orally and through a PIC line for four months. It really helped with the fatigue and pain.) thank goodness. Just the fatigue and some brain fog. Have to scamper along to Yoga right now, but wanted to acknowledge you guys and cheer you on. We'll talk later, I hope!
