Any body with Hashimoto and with the Whole30 has seen any improvement?

Recommended Posts

I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I have seen improvement in my TSH levels on Whole30.

Can you describe what you mean by loosing weight and not being able to eat fruit? I'm not familiar with how either of those two things relate to Hashimoto's Thyroiditis; and I'm not clear what you are specifically concerned about in each case.

But generally speaking, I do experience that my thyroid function, if not my overall autoimmune system, is in better shape during/after Whole30. I hope that you can find some help here on the forums and some relief for what may be troubling you.

I second that! Mine is only mild - in the early stages I guess but I had to decrease my thyroid meds after my first Whole30 as my T4 had shot up out of range. I haven't really lost much weight, maybe a few pounds but I feel much less sluggish and "weighed down". I no longer need to have a day in bed a couple of times a month - yay that's 2 whole extra Sundays a month! :)

After 2 weeks of my w30 I stopped taking my meds. I have Hashimotos. After being off them for a month I got tested and my dr is recommending staying off meds! I'm not experiencing any symptoms :-)

I did my w30 with the auto immune protocol for 45 days. I got off track during my reintroduction phase and am consuming aip foods again. I'm going to pay attention to symptoms and if they come up again i will eliminate the aip foods again to see if that helps.

I won't blame my thyroid for lack of losing weight ever since I've never been the best with healthy eating or exercising. Even now, my eating is totally different but I'm still lacking exercise.

Baby steps.
