jillmick
Ok, So I'm coming on here because I have nowhere else to turn and need some accountability..or maybe just to release this rage for sugar!!! gah. The girls I started doing this with aren't as committed to this plan as I want to be..full on. My hubby is behind me, but isn't doing it with me...just eats whatever I make and does his own thing during the day. All that to say I'm going crazzzzzy for some chocolate. I've been going strong since day 1 with no slips and cravings haven't been that bad..until now. I'm just getting over being sick and now have taste and all of the sudden I want all and any chocolate in sight. Just had to tell someone...grateful for this forum for this very reason!! GLC1968
I'm day 8 today too and I'm sorry for your cravings! When I get that need, fat helps. So does eating something that seems decadent - like a delicious steak. Hang in there!
CaseyD
I totally get where you're coming from just coming off an illness at the beginning of a Whole30 and suddenly craving sugar like crazy. That happened to me in January. Hang in there! It really will pass soon. The more you fight it without using fruit, the faster it goes away too. I also can get tripped up sometimes if I do a Whole30 with people who end up slipping. It's like my brain's ticket out or something. So, be really mindful if your brain starts trying to talk you out of this for that reason. Good job coming on here and venting instead of reaching for a treat! I second "rewarding" yourself with some really yummy cut of meat for dinner!
jillmick
You guys are amazing!!! THanks so much for the feedback...I didn't give in. But man I seriously can't remember the last time I felt a craving THAT strong for sugar before. So intense. Just more of a reason I need to be doing this...I'm so tired of being a slave to the dang "sugar dragon"!!!! THanks again!!!!
