Dizzy, weak, no balance...

Recommended Posts

I'm on day 10 and I'm just feeling really weak and lethargic. I did some intense yoga yesterday so I thought that was why at first but then I noticed my balance is all wonky.

I think I've been eating quite well, lots of protein and veggies and fat & I'm also currently breastfeeding if that makes a difference. I posted yesterday about being frequently hungry but I've just been eating more and haven't had a problem with hunger today. But why am I so weak now?! I can barely lift my arms! I felt sooo good the first 3-4 days and lately I've been so bleh :(

This - I am afraid - is completely normal. Days 7 to 10 (or a little beyond) you can be soooooo-oooo tired. My desk at work looked like the most comfortable bed in the world..... I kid you not.

Try to include an extra starchy veg in your next meal. It will help....

BTW - have you subscribed to the daily e-mails? They are great as they will give you some pointers on getting through these periods.

I have no advice but I will chime in and say that I feel exactly the same way. I am also breastfeeding (only 2x day) and I have yet to have a great day. But today (day 11) I have been in what feels like a massive blood sugar crash + nausea all morning. Ugh. I need to start feeling better, not worse!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not feeling dizzy anymore but I just can't make up my mind about this whole30.. some days I feel like crap and some days I feel amazing, I'm just all over the place. And I feel really irritable too. Hopefully by week 3 I'll feel some magic.

Ladies -please make sure you're eating more than you think you need to since you're still nursing. Even in limited amounts, it's extra work for your body. That said, if you're still feeling this way in 5 days (and you ARE definitely eating enough) check back in and we'll see what we can figure out. For most folks, this world-ending fatigue straightens itself out by then :)
