slipperystar
Hi All Just started my W30 8 days ago....the fist 5 were challenging but not really that bad. I was doing keto before so for me it was really only a matter of quitting dairy, artificial sweeteners, my evening drink or two, and some psuedograins. Being able to add a bit of sweet potato, squash, and the occasional piece of fruit was awesome and welcome! Thing is, for the last three days I have had no appetite for breakfast. It seems to be spelled out pretty clearly that we are supposed to have it, but honestly I am fine up til about 10:30 or so, then I find I can easily hold out til 11:30, when I have lunch at work. By then I am really ready to eat, and everything tastes great like it does when you have a great appetite going. Just checking to see if anybody else forgoes breakkie. I'm not even eating too much for dinner, and I try to not eat at least 2 1/2 - 3 hours before sleeping. W30 protocol seems pretty adamant about breakfast, so don't want to sabotage. But I feel like listening to my body's signals as well. Thanks!
kb0426
The signals your body is sending you are currently messed up! By eating in the morning, you will start to create the appropriate hormonal response. I would have to reference my copy of ISWF for the full details, but you really really need to start eating breakfast, and ideally within 60 minutes of waking. Skipping breakfast has also been shown to impact your ghrelin levels, causing you to eat more at lunch and dinner than you would have if you had eaten breakfast in the first place. Eat breakfast now so that you can start listening to the right signals from your body.

I find on the weekends when I don't need to be up at 5:30 am I can go for a walk and then have a nice breakfast. It's just the weekdays. But I'll make myself some eggs and get used to it.
