Publix sells macadamia nuts that are roasted and salted. The only ingredients are macadamia nuts and salt, so I guess they are dry roasted. I don't know why you would need to add oil to roast nuts anyway. They have oil in them to start with.

Err, I'm not Tom nor do I play him on TV, but I'm preeeeetty sure that unless you are picking up the mac nuts from the ground around your personal mac nut tree (which does happen here in Hawaii!), that they're going to come already dry roasted.

actually i bought some from whole foods that were raw and i didn't like them my husband did

I got some a couple of years ago that were still in the shell. Boy are those nuts hard to crack. It really brought it home that our ancestors would never have gorged themselves on nuts the way we do. The effort of getting each one shelled meant you were exhausted after half-a-dozen - and that was with a modern nutcracker

Supposedly that's why they are so expensive.
