Taryn64
Are kombucha (not homemade but with no added sugar) and coconut water okay on the whole 30?
Susan W
Kombucha yes!! Coconut water has been a little controversial around here. It's difficult to find it without added sugar these days and it doesn't have the same huge benefits that Kombucha has said to have. However, I know people drink coconut water occasionally with approval (I think) from the mods.
Robin Strathdee
Are kombucha (not homemade but with no added sugar) and coconut water okay on the whole 30? Coconut water is best used in the context of extreme physical labor (we ok'd it for a gentleman who was a roofer in the middle of a summer heat wave) and endurance athletics. It just doesn't have enough benefit for the average person to outweigh the sugar punch.

Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 28, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2013 So coconut water after a workout (CrossFit)...yes or no?? Unnecessary. You would be better off drinking water.
paleochef
I highly recommend the SodaStream machine. You use it to carbonate your own tap water and then you can add lemon/lime slices. It is also much less expensive than buying bottle sparkling water. I love sparkling water and this machine makes it really easy to have on hand.
