Next time, I'll choose a less spicy sausage and just add hot sauce to mine. Ingredients: chopped carrots (2), celery (2 stalks), onion (1), garlic (6 cloves), red bell (1), okra (1/2 bag) sausage cut into manageable pieces - use whatever spiciness you want 28 oz diced tomatoes 1 quart chicken broth 1/2 t pepper 1/2 t thyme 1/8 t oregano Put everything into the crockpot and cook on low 8-10 hours. Rather than cook it with rice as per the original recipe, I served it over rice for the family and over zucchini noodles for me. Next time, I'll make cauliflower rice.
