Michele Pankey Barragan
We have not been eating paleo though have been wheat free for about 8 months. Sugary flavors are my and my 4 year old son's battle. Dairy will be my husband's. I also have 2 year old twin girls and not sure how this will work for them. They may get a modified version. I gave them coconut milk and one liked it, the other no... I am planning my trip to the store now. Thought I had better put it in writing that I am doing this! Michele Pankey Barragan
First meal and I feel sooooo guilty for the crap I have been feeding my children! 4 year old has been on a hunger strike for almost a year only eating a few (completely gross) things and my fear of him starving won me over but no more!! So this morning instead of his ritual carnation breakfast, he got a scrambled egg and bell peppers. He requested them on the side and ate the bell peppers. I don't have my ghee yet so I cooked the egg in coconut oil and he (after much persuasion) took one bite, said NO WAY! Because it don't have cheese... So he told me he would not sing to me until he can have sugar again. I guess we won't have any songs this month! The girls usually eat frozen waffles (I KNOW!! Sooo bad!!) so I made them egg/banana pancakes and they ate almost all of them. Miles tried and opted for one raw banana. I have the girls milk but I am not going to give as much as they are used to. I had 3 eggs with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and avocado. It was yummy! Husband will have the same. On weekdays I will not be cooking 4 meals separately but today... There you go! Michele Pankey Barragan
Pretty sure that chai latte and flourless chocolate cake I had Saturday are why I feel sluggish and irritable today. Won't kill me. My body is kinda freaking out about all the veggies but I am liking that part! I can totally do this.
