Sherri Cole
I have been eating raisins for the past few days. Is this ok?
befabdaily
You want to be careful with dried fruit because it has a ton of sugar. It's on the "limit" list and it can totally prop up your sugar cravings. Also, be on the lookout for sulfites (totally forbidden).
MelliebuStacey
If it's your 1st W30, I'd recommend cutting out dried fruit entirely--for me, food without brakes, and definitely can awaken the sugar demons.
Susan W
Before we tell you to worry, how many raisens do you eat?
Sherri Cole
I think I may have overdone it with the raisins. They are super sweet and so easy to over eat. From now on I am cutting them out. They are way to good and I just know I will keep overdoing it with them. Thanks everyone!

One of the greatest ways to look at dried fruit that I've come across is this--dried apricots are an absolute achilles heel for me; I can easily eat a whole bag of then without blinking twice. Have you ever tried to eat thirty fresh apricots in one sitting? I think you made a good choice cutting them out on your W30 if they're a food without brakes for you! Megan H
Packs of raisins I used to take hiking have vegetable oil listed in the ingredients, as do a lot of dried fruits I looked at out of curiosity. So another thing to watch out for
LibLady
Also sulphites in some of those things.
Elliottsmama
For me it would be too easy to eat a bunch of them, but I will use a few in a chicken salad or something for some flavor. Also maybe trail mix on a hike or something, though I have yet to go hiking.
blueice9802
Hi...newbie here... I have some Healthy Helpings raisins and the only ingredient listed is Raisins. Are these OK? Thanks!
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted June 3, 2014 Moderators Share Posted June 3, 2014 Fresh or dried fruit should only be eaten with a meal for your best results. You don't want to snack on fruit alone. I love a little chopped dried fruit or some raisins tossed in cauliflower "rice" with a few almond slivers. Delicious!
