Erika Bumgardner
Hi everyone! My name is Erika and I'm a mom of 4. I've been toying around a little with Paleo eating- off and on- and I think I'm finally ready to take a Whole30 plunge! My two oldest daughters have b'days on the 15th and 16th, so that's why I'm waiting until the 17th. ;-) Anyone else starting around about that time? Ruby
I'm starting on the 15th because my birthday is the 13th. I've been mostly paleo since October, but need to get a handle on my eating for real. It's been a bit of a mess lately.
Suzy1
Hi, I started today 17th. Completed a whole 30 feb/mar and started another one however kept falling off the wagon. Felt awesome on my last one so hopefully with support from this thread I can it again. Mad crossfitter, living on the Great Ocean Road Victoria Australia, yes the Twelve Apostles are in my back yard:) Day 1 and all good. Looking forward to sharing the journey with everyone. Suzy1
Hi there, How is everybody going?? Day 2 done. Possibly easier cos I have recently completed another Whole 30 even though I had a couple of false starts afterwards. My focus is stronger and I know how good it feels after a successful Whole 30. Hope somebody else posts soon:) Suzy
Jennifer Ferrante
Hi Everyone, I started April 17th as well. I got my husband on board too. I had tried ones before but didnt last the whole time. I'm hopefully with the 2 of us doing it together that we will succeed. Good luck everyone
Suzy1
Yay Jennifer, great to have you on board. Day 3 and I am a little tired so instead if a full on workout today did Pilates instead. Feeling super focussed especially as I have started reading It starts with Food, very enlightening. Recommend you purchase it as it will most certainly keep you on track. Now off for veggies and freshly caught fish, steamed and served with some Well Fed pesto. Have a good one everybody.
Suzy1
Here I again. Posting daily helps me to stay honest. All good, knowing the scientific stuff behind the body and food makes it so much easier rather than just thinking I am missing out on something - non approved food. Take care out there:)
Suzy1
Ok I hope I am not the only one here, will feel a bit strange. Anyway another successful day and after reading the book things make more sense. Meal one was later today as we went out and I paid attention to my satiety levels and left food on the plate even though it was just poached eggs, salmon and spinach. This meant I was full for a good 5 hrs and could have gone longer without eating however now know the importance of 3 meals daily. Gonna keep posting even if it is just me. Suzy1
Day 6, energy levels high, no cravings, no hunger between meals and starting to sleep well again. All good here:)
Suzy1
Day 7, energy high, sleeping well, eating excellent. Workouts great and no mid arvo slump. Looking fwd to reading other people's posts:)
tjnwyo
I started 4.17 as well. I had to wait for tax season to be over in order for me to be able to focus with less stress. Having family over this weekend so I am getting a head start on healthy meal plans to stay on track. Today is Day 7 and I'm feeling tired, but I've been working out a lot and started training for a half marathon. Maybe too much.
Suzy1
Hi, just finished Day 8 and decided to take a rest day from Crissfit as I upped my weights in last nights WOD and had a busy day at work suffering from exercise soreness. Eating great. Finding that I can easily go seven hours between meals before feeling hungry however am eating more regularly and only stretch out the time between meals when I am experimenting as to how long it takes for hunger to kick in. Keep up the good work all. Suzy
Suzy1
Day nine done, smashed a WOD this morning, full work day and just back from meditation. Munching on chicken and spinach rissole on a bed of silver beet and beans with Well Fed pesto. Yum. Posting daily keeps me honest:)
Suzy1
Day 10, yay. All good here, so focussed and as I said previously the book certainly makes everything easier. Meditation and yoga this morning and then a WOD this afternoon. Tons of energy. Check your tongues out as they will be non coated due to the clean eating. Another plus I think. Tjnwyo keep up the good work. The tiredness will soon pass as long as you stick to the template. This forum keeps you honest too:)
Suzy1
Another day done. Day 11, struggled through my workout today. Legs were fatigued, maybe not enough water. Anyway completed it so all good. Tucking into homemade chicken rissoles on a bed of sweet potato, beetroot and mixed veggies. Partner loves the dry roasted sweet potato, says they taste like chips. Par cook the chunks then spray with a tiny bit if evoo and roast in the oven. Yummm:)
Suzy1
Day 12 done. Still have soreness in legs so took a day off and meditated and did Pilates. Hope all is good tomorrow. Eating great, out for breakfast and again satiety levels satisfied quickly. Partner gobbled up the mushroom, salmon and egg for me:) Hope everyone is travelling along well. jacj4h
hmm, hadn't even thought about that. I am on Day 15 of my close but not completely compliant Whole30 (so technically back at day 1). But I have been eating much cleaner so I am going to have to check out my tongue lol Day 10, yay.
Suzy1
Awww Jac, each time you start it gets easier so stay positive and focussed. I found that reading the book It Starts With Food put everything into perspective and made it easier to stay true to the Program. Another good day. Just did a workout and now dinner. Notice that length of time between meals is extending to 6 hrs. Today meal 1 at 7am, meal 2 at 2pm and meal 3 at 8 pm. Cheers.
Suzy1
Day 16 done. Oodles of energy, no afternoon slump. Strange dreams with super clarity even though I had a great nights sleep. Could have something to do with energy changed due to preparation for my Reiki Mastery Degree on Sunday. Hope everybody is well;)
Suzy1
Day 17 done. Must say that I had a few challenging things happen today that normally would have driven to binge however all good and I stayed clean:) Happy I also made the choice to do my workout rather than take a day off. Energy levels great, skin super clear as are my eyes and tongue non coated. Cheers.

Scoffed down some nuts then had to put a stop to that to prepare a decent meal. Have a good one everybody:)
