Today is day one of my second whole30! I finished one in March, then went on 2 vacations and binged on bread, pasta, sugar, and ice cream. :) I dont do well with "everything in moderation," I guess. Anyway, happy to be here with all of you. Good luck.

Check out the mayo in ISWF, it is delish :)

It is! I've made a few variations so far, but I think my fav is the original. Thanks for the bone broth tip. I've saved bones a few times to make some, but never actually get that far. I saw someone's post (Pea, I think), who said they make their chicken in the crock pot, then pull the meat and pop the bones plus onion/carrot/ect back in to make broth - one pot style. Now to actually do it... :) I've liked all the Well Fed recipes I've made so far, and have got cumin roasted carrots and chicken on for tonight (and now that I say that, bone broth in my near future :) )

Breakfast was a scotch egg, a hb egg, and a veg/meat muffin. I just have to add, any plan that includes full fat coconut milk and scotch eggs?? Life is rough ;)

Hi Roslyn - I sent you a friend request, did you get it? Would love to be in the fb group as it's much easier than checking in on here!

I'm half way through day 2 at the moment. It's going good, and I know I would have crumbled if I wasn't doing this as part of a bigger group so thank you for posting and getting everyone involved!

Yes! I started yesterday - very nervous but also excited to see results (fingers crossed for sustained energy and a general feeling of health). So far no cheating (despite my team at work buying me a giant cookie to celebrate my birthday) but I have been super hungry (am I the only one?) and also am really struggling for breakfast ideas.

In general, I'm not a fussy eater (have no problems finding lunch & dinner options), but I have a really sensitive stomach in the morning - a whiff of a bad smell will send me into a dry retching frenzy for 10 minutes - and meat in the morning just makes me feel nauseous. Add to this a complete intolerence of eggs and I am left with a. skipping breakfast or just having some veg which won't fill me up or b. an ordeal like this morning when it took me half an hour to choke down some bacon with veg, after which I was late to work.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received!

Day 2 is nearly done and I'm feeling good. Not as hungry as I expected. I packed super big lunches yesterday and today but didn't finish them. I perhaps foolishly decided at the last minute to cut out coffee this month, too. We'll see how long it lasts, though. I had a killer headache yesterday which I'm attributing to the lack of caffeine. I made Bora Bora Fireballs (from the Well Fed cookbook) last night for dinner and LOVED THEM. I brought left overs for lunch today. I realize I didn't purchase enough veggies for the week so I had my husband swing by the store for some tonight and I'll probably go to the store tomorrow for more. I didn't realize when I purchased prosciutto over the weekend that it had sugar in it. I might still use it for my husband. Or just have it tonight so I can then let the sugar get out of my system. I'm doing so good without cravings or anything, though so I don't want to tempt myself.

Here's to a great third day tomorrow!

All meat? Even if you mix it with something?

Yep, sadly. Although today I am managing to get down some prosciutto, as well as a handful of almonds, some red bell peppers and a banana. Probably not the BEST W30 breakfast, but I need to stick with what I can manage for now...

I finished off Day 2 feeling crap! No energy, cold and an awful headache. I cut right down on my tea intake (one cup in the morning only, next week I'm cutting it totally). Feel better today, still tired though. Oh, and my belly looks like a swallowed a football ..... whole

I am batch cooking meatballs at the moment, today's dinner and some for the freezer.

I started the Whole30 on Monday, and so far on my third day in things are going well! I joined the program because a friend of mine is a personal trainer and she highly recommended I try it out for 30 days as I've been experiencing some "leaky gut" symptoms and digestive issues. I used to do Crossfit, and tried the Paleo diet for awhile, but when I got food poisoning from a trip to Mexico, I came back and totally jumped ship. I was on a sweets and bad carbs kick, and by the time I started this challenge it was getting REALLY bad. I had no self control and over indulged in everything I ate- oftentimes eating FAR more than I needed because I just couldn't say no. I started reading the "It Starts with Food" book and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm experiencing some of the insulin and cortisol issues described in chapters 4-8.

So with this program I hope to give my gut a break and help restore it. I would love to be able to finally kick those dangerous sweet cravings, as well as give my body a chance to heal from years of bad eating. Hopefully, I'll shed a few pounds of fat along the way too :)

Good luck to everyone!

*Also, can I join the FB group?
