This is where I'm going for my birthday: Prime Meats. It's in Brooklyn but all farm-to-table and the meals I've eaten at Frankies Spuntino's (same owner) are some of the best I've had--and no Manhattan real estate premium. :)


Check out Blue Ribbon if you are into seafood. All locally sourced, etc. The Spotted Pig is awesome. Most amazing burger. If you go before dinner rush you can eat at the bar. Very high Q meat. (The chef wrote a book called "A Girl and Her Pig.")

I'm sure there are other places in Manhattan. Im kind out of the world of super fancy restaurants at this point. :- Nomnom mentions Per Se at one point, which Im sure is amazing, but it's pretty hard to get a table there and it's like $400 per person. Without wine.
