TiMANimal
I have been getting my meat from a local butcher and always ask if it is grass fed, grass finished & organic. They have always said that it is grass fed and free range its whole life, for any and all meats that I get if I ask for it. The only thing is that it is finished on grain for the last 2 weeks. First of all, does anyone know why they would change it at the last two weeks? Secondly, would this be expectable for eating the fat and skin? Keep in mind it only went to grain the last two weeks and it is fully free range and organic otherwise. On another note I am paying about $5.50 a pound for these meats. I think that is fairly good price for the product.
Susan W
Sometimes they add a little grain at the end to fatten the steer a bit. I would have no problem eating that fat and that is an awesome price.
TiMANimal
Kind of my thoughts as well. Just wanted to see what others thought. Yeah they have amazing prices on their packages. For any one in or near Denver check out Sam's meat market.
