Keri Wood Jacobi
I'm on my first Whole30 - finished day 24. Overall I *think* I have more energy but I have yet to feel that "magic" that ISWF outlines. I'm following all rules, no slips or cheats. I haven't exercised with the exception of chasing my 2 1/2 and 10month old. My meals are protein and veggie packed. The only thing I can think of is lack of sleep. I fall asleep around 10 every night, hoping to get 8-9 hours but my kids interrupt my sleep. I get about a 4-5 hour stretch before one kid wakes. Then it is up every 1-2 hours until I get up at 6am. Could this be hindering my "tiger blood" from coming on? How do other mothers with young kids do it? Do you feel the magic?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted April 25, 2013 Moderators Share Posted April 25, 2013 Interrupted sleep is a big drain on energy. One of the main reasons anyone doing a Whole30 feels a lot more energy is sleeping better after cleaning up their diet. You are enjoying the setup for sleeping better, but your early morning child care engagements are siphoning off your opportunity to feel big improvements.
