MrAlex
Dear Jesus and the Angles and Mother Mary. Day 11. First, black coffee (if I could curse right now lol YUCK) You all lied and said I would get use to it. Ugg Okay too much red meat for my taste but I can do more turkey, duck, lamb etc. No cravings or missing anything really (except my cream in my coffee and you need to know I'm going back after 30 days lol) So tomorrow I would like some fish. I thought about baking it but wanted to know am I able to use some extra virgin olive oil lightly in a pan and fry it or is that considered a no no (no bread crumbs or flower or anything added just the fish in a very lightly oiled pan). If you say no, I will abide and bake it. Just curious and thank your for letting me rant about my COFFEE!
Susan W
I decided to give up coffee for 100 days because they lied to me too. ;0) You can even use ground nuts or coconut or tapioca flour as a light coating. Do you have coconut oil or ghee? They withstand heat better.
Maycat
Ha ha ha! Very funny. Black coffee hurts my stomach, so I use coconut milk straight out of the can. I also add cinnamon to it. I did get used to black coffee, though but I got VERY GOOD coffee that had low acidity. I use olive oil to cook with. With fish it is especially tasty. I sometimes mix coconut oil with it as well. But make sure what you eat is yummy! Use lots of spices, or coat it with homemade mayo first. In my opinion, Whole30 is not about depriving yourself from good tasting food, it is learning how to eat amazingly yummy food that you feel better eating. TriciaLo14
I realized black coffee was tolerable if it was REALLY good coffee. Not a cheap kind. I also figured out that it tastes better iced! It's a go to at Starbucks. Pretty strong, but more tolerable than a crappy cup. Maycat is right, find what works for you. Shredded coconut on top of salmon is pretty yummy
Bethann67
Black coffee is NOT delicious... And never will be! Bulletproof coffee however is delicious, and creamy! ( you will never use creamer again!)
Jtandi
coffee - I can't do black. I do make my own hazelnut milk - 1 cup hazelnuts, 3 cups water, 4 or 5 dates, 1 or two vanilla pods, blend and strain through a nut bag. I agree with the coconut oil depending on the type of fish...or grill that sucker! yum!
