Going out for hubs & bro-in-law's bdays - menu help?

We are going out for lunch for my husband & brother-in-law's birthdays today. My W30 doesn't truly start until Tuesday but I'm trying to incorporate W30 principles now to get myself in the right mindset.

After looking at their menu (link above), I was thinking I'd get their "perfectly dressed" burger on a lettuce wrap with sun-dried tomato, avocado, and grilled onions. Is it safe to assume that the applewood bacon is most likely non-compliant? Was also going to get sweet potato fries (without the sauce) & a house salad (using my own homemade dressing). Or I may forgo the fries and ask for avocado on my salad along with the other toppings. How compliant would this meal be?

Does anything else pop out as possible selections? I'm not necessarily looking to be 100% compliant since I haven't officially started yet, but the closer, the better.

I love reading menus :).

The sundried tomato concerns me only because if they were oil packed, they may be in some creepy oil. Just my personal choice, I would get the barely dressed naked (I hate trying to navigate lettuce wraps in public) and would then ask for a double serving of avocado with it. The veggies cooked on the grill are likely cooked in an oil you would want to avoid; while they are not prohibited during your whole30, they are likely not oils you want to be consuming such as canola, corn, or some other oil that may contain soybean.

Now, the sweet potato fries would probably be a good choice for fun today, but depending on the oil they are cooked in, may not be the best choice for during your whole30...see above oil comment :). While on your whole30, I would get the side salad and bring your own dressing, or order oil and vinegar (if you can trust that their olive oil really is olive oil).

Have a great time and enjoy whatever you get!

Success! The restaurant ended up changing, which threw me for a loop, but I got a plain burger with spices and avocado (maybe 1/2-3/4 worth?), salad with extra veggies (which still wasnt much), with my homemade dressing. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of a plain burger with only avocado on it. I had to fight the urge to take a couple of my son's French fries (a weakness of mine, once I have that first taste). Just avoiding the fries was a victory. My only downfall could be if the seasonings had any sugar in it. Otherwise, I feel like I successfully navigated a restaurant today.
