Lana Lyon Dorazio
The first 2 weeks of my whole30 I felt terrible, and did not exercise, except for walking my dog. The first week it was just detox related I think. The second week, I had a terrible cold/flu like thing and even stayed in bed one full day. I have exercised the past 2 days, and each day, had a headache by the end of the day. The first day I did a 90 minute hot yoga class (I have done this kind of exercise for 2 years-I'm not new to it,) and yesterday just did some cardio/light weights at the gym. I really felt great after exercise, but by the end of the day, headaches had creeped in. WHY? How do I figure out what it is? It seems based on other posts it's either that I need more water, or more carbs? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Susan W
Are you eating a pre wo or post wo meal? I know if I especially don't give myself lean protein and a little starchie after a strenuous wo, I get that kind of headache later.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2013 These replies sound good, but I would also raise the possibility that the headaches are not related to what or how much you are eating. I get headaches occasionally and am pretty sure my food is not the problem.
Lana Lyon Dorazio
Thanks everyone! I'll try it out. I've never been much of an 'athlete,' but have learned slowly over the last couple of year of doing hot yoga more about how to eat for workouts. I can see how now that I am eating this way, I will have to pay more attention if i want to make sure I'm eating and drinking enough. I had really bad headaches a few years ago, but finally found a good chiropractor and he completely got rid of them in just a couple of visits. I might have headaches for other reasons as well, so should probably get an adjustment! Thanks for your advice!
doreau
I also had a couple day of bad headaches this week and I actually think it was spring and the pollen count - was it bad in your area this week?
