deborah
I'm on day 10 of the autoimmune protocol, limited FODMAPs, and I'm starting to lose steam. I love the recipes I've made so far, but looking for new recipes can be disheartening: "Not that one, even modified . . . or that one . . . or that one." At this point, it almost feels like a better idea to skip recipe skimming and stick to my own improvisations until I start reintroductions. Got any favorite AIP appropriate recipes to share? If so, I would be grateful. On the bright side, I discovered I am clearly becoming/already fat adapted due to the slowest haircut ever yesterday. I ended up being eight hours between meals; instead of being ravenous and grumpy like I would have been at four hours even a week ago, I simply looked forward to getting home and eating some of my leftovers. Also good? Kombucha, which I added in two days ago. Yum.

deborah
Deborah, which flavors of Kombucha do you like best? I've only tried original so far. I might look beyond that on my next grocery store trip. Got any you'd recommend?
calee
I've only tried original so far. I might look beyond that on my next grocery store trip. Got any you'd recommend? I've never had them. I had a sip of a friend's a couple years ago and didn't like it. I thought I might try it again and see if my tastes are changing.
pjena
Hi Deborah, My advice is to stick it out. My W30 wasn't hard when it came to what to eat because I am already used to all that comes with a special diet. I went through it a few years ago. I remember feeling so overwhelmed when I had to overhaul my family's diet due to my son's food allergies. It was so hard at first to think of anything to eat! But, over time, I knew which products I could buy and which I couldn't, so I didn't have to read labels all the time. I had a good list of recipes, and more importantly, non recipe meals, that everyone liked. I got very good at adapting recipes I found online or in books or magazines or old favorites. In time it became so much easier. And fun. I found that I love cooking. I love reading recipes and making meal plans and even chopping vegetables and washing dishes. It gets easier, I promise! I like ginger berry.
