  1. Trina1960 Exactly!!!! Coming from way down deep inside.
  2. No not at all or at least I am not consciously trying to. Weight loss is not something I am going for and I do not gain weight easily. I am even following the advice in the blog post "How to Keep Weight on During the Whole 30". I have dropped 5 pounds which for my frame is a lot. Sweet potatoes, squash, brussel sprouts, carrots, apples, avocado, pineapples, oranges, grapes have all been part of my whole 30 many on a daily basis. How many carbs should I be consuming?
  3. This is my third whole 30 attempt and each time I have to stop because of the same issue. On day 12 I get really bad breath along with an empty feeling in my esophagus that almost feels like the way your stomach does when you are hungry. Bad breath everyone in my family comments on and prior to day 12 or before my whole 30 attempts I do not have an issue at all. I eat Paleo and have Celiac Disease and feel great, but have tried the whole 30 just to see if I feel even better. I have no other symptoms, issue etc. Could this possibly be the result of Candida die off? I am at a loss and this is the only thing I can think of.
  4. I have the exact same problem and am on day 18.......after healing my gut for 2 1/2 years from undiagnosed celiac disease for 14 years, bathroom habits were something I never ever ever had had problems with until I started the whole 30. I was already eating this way about 90% of the time so when I was on day 3 yesterday of still nothing moving I started going through what could possibly be causing it. I had always taken a probiotic pill until about 6 months ago then I switched to homemade Kombucha, homemade sauerkraut and a thick cultured organic grass fed dairy drink I would have about 2 TBSP of a day.......since going whole 30 I ran out of my homemade kombucha but am brewing more and couldn't drink my cultured dairy due to the whole 30 rules and realized this morning this might be my problem also. But now that you say you have been drinking kombucha and you are still having this problem....hhhmmmm.
  5. Hi Renee- My breakfast bake is a 9x13 pan with 12 eggs, 2 zucchini and 4 carrots with a pound of breakfast sausage divided into 7 servings and I am definately full after eating that. Sorry I did see I just put "egg" in the description above. If I do eat just scrambled eggs in the morning it is 3 with half an avocado.
  6. Thanks Robin- I brought sweet potato with coconut milk for my snack which I ate about 1/2 an hour ago and I can already tell way better choice than the 3-4 dried apricots I was eating. I had already planned to make a rutabaga breakfast hash tomorrow morning and great idea on the beets, I have some frozen from our CSA this summer. Thanks!
  7. I already ate Paleo about 90 % of the time prior to starting the whole 30. I have celiac (undiagnosed for 14 years) and have spent the last 2 1/2 years healing my gut. I am doing the whole 30 just as a reset for my body now that I feel so good but also to see if food is what is causing my lingering mild headaches and also an emptiness I feel in my chest, an empty feeling in my esophagus (not heartburn). I only weight 100 lbs at 5'3" so did not want to lose weight at all while on this so I have stepped on the scale because by day 3 I knew I had lost too much weight already and was down 4 lbs in 3 days and I also wasn't feeling well. I realized my fat intake was not high enough so I increased it and felt better almost immediately. I am still thinking it is not high enough but need some input. I eat until I am full and have a snack when I am hungry. But I feel like my meals are not sustaining me and I also do not feel satisfied....I'm full as in if you would put another plate of food in front of me I could not eat it. I had started doing a 30 days shred workout that was only 20 minutes a day 7 days a week but quickly stopped as I could feel a drastic change in how I was feeling and not for the better. This was pretty much my meals this week with no workout at all. Breakfast: Egg, Zuchinni, Carrot and US Wellness Meats Sugar Free Breakfast sausage bake(large piece). Black coffee with a heaping TBSP of coconut cream from the top of the can. Snack: 3-4 dried organic apricots Lunch: Large mixed green salad with protein, black olives, tomatos and dressing made from olive oil, apple cider vinegar and spices. Snack: Banana with Organic Sunflower Seed Butter Dinner: Protein (as much as I want) and a mix of roasted cauliflower, sauted kale and garlic, roasted green beans all roasted or sauted with coconut oil or Ghee, or cabbaged mixed with Paleo Mayo. Snack: 1/2 grapefruit. Last night I skipped the grapfruit and had some sweet potato with coconut milk and cinnamon. I have not stepped on the scale since because my only concern was losing too much weight which I cannot afford to do. The change in my body form is crazy and I am actually shocked.
  8. Day 14 & 15 were by far my hardest days....I craved dates so bad...I know they are ok on Whole 30 but that is what I would have for a treat after dinner so I am not eating them and I wanted them so bad.
  9. I am in the same situation you are. I did not do the whole 30 to lose weight and at 100 lbs (5' 3") I really can't afford to lose any weight. I already eat 90% Paleo but wanted to take a month without "paleofied" baked goods. On day 3 I could already tell I was losing weight and on day 4 I knew it was too much and since that is not my goal I stepped on the scale just to determine what I felt was really what was happening and I was down 5 lbs. My activity level is 20 minutes a day and that is it.....but it is 20 intense minutes with no break combo of cardio, strengh and abs and I don't think that is at all excessive then I sit at a desk for the 8 straight hours. On day 4 I increased my fat intake by adding a snack with organic sun butter, banana and some the coconut cream from the top of a can of coconut milk. Today on day 8 I put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn in years......I am thrilled to be able to do that and see such dramatic results, but also a little concerned over the weight part. I eat 3 meals a day, eat until I am full and eat when I am hungry. I have added in 1-2 snacks a day if I feel hungry. I do feel great and have so much energy. Just thought I would let you know I am in the same situation which isn't a bad situation we just have to view our situation a little different than most other people.
