kt cat Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I am starting on Monday Jan 1st, I have been thinking about doing this since before Thanksgiving, so I guess I need to get started! I wanted to throw in the towel while in the canned tomato aisle in the grocery store! All these additives and sugar in canned sauce... I decided to go with Muir Glen Sauce for now and maybe head to whole foods to see what they have. I am going to struggle with not enjoying a nightly beer or cocktail, and stress eating, such as after grocery shopping and/or trying to find somewhere to park on the street with half a foot of snow! There *are* cans out there without the added sugar and weird stuff, and once you ind a brand, stick to it. One thing I do- instead of buying any kind of tomato sauce- I buy big cans of crushed tomatoes. They usually just have salt. It's easy to spice those up with garlic and oregano -(and whatever else) and it's MUCH cheaper than buying premade sauce. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
