PaulaB
I have an old aluminum pressure cooker that I desperately need to replace. I saw Tom's post on the Kuhn Rikon, but really didn't want to spend that much. Does anyone else have one that they love? I ordered a Fagor, which seems to be fairly well reviewed, but it arrived with a shattered handle even though there was no obvious shipping damage to the box. I sent it back, thinking that if it broke that easily, I didn't want it.
Buttoni
Ive been using Mirro pressure cookers for years and years. Had old cast aluminum 4 qt the developed a defective seal that kept leaking air arond the rim, but it didn't start doing that for some 15 years or so. My old 8 qt I plum wore out. I used it so much Then I was given a shiny new Mirro 8 qt. for Christmas about 5 years ago and gave my old one away to a friend. It was still working just fine though. They just really perform and last. Like Timex watches, they "take a licking and keep on ticking."
