megan722 Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Just wondering if there's any other type 1's doing a whole30 right now. I'm Megan. I'm 34 and have had type 1 diabetes since I was 11. I'm on an insulin pump and in relatively good control (run an A1C of 6-7 when I'm not pregnant, been closer to 5-5.5 when I was pregnant). I have 3 kids (8, 5 and 18 months). I'm on day 6 of my first whole30. I have lowered my insulin a LOT (down to 30 units a day from 45-55 units a day). I'm struggling with having to eat from lows (I'll drink juice to come up or have a banana or apple with almond butter to hold me) and hoping that doesn't screw up my whole30.
